Celebs That Got Nose Jobs
Being a celebrity, despite the fame and fortune, is a pretty tough gig since you have to be at the top of your game at all times. Having the perfect look from head to toe is a challenge and often leads celebrities to take desperate measures to ensure that they measure up. Many spend a fortune to go under the knife for both minor and major surgeries to firm their thighs, enhance their derrieres, lift their eyebrows, or tweak their noses.
As long as a nose doesn’t resemble a pelican’s beak, chances are that it goes unnoticed. With a variety of shapes and sizes, having a long nose or a wide nose won’t prevent you from getting a job unless, of course, you’re a celebrity. Which celebrities have had nose jobs? Would it be easier to ask which celebrities haven’t had nose jobs?
A lot of people know Blake Lively from having played the lead role in the CW hit show, “Gossip Girl,” while others know her as Ryan Reynolds’ wife. Either way, Lively has had a lot of prominent roles since her run on “Gossip Girl”, including starring in “The Town” and “Green Lantern” with her hubby.
Lively used to have a big nose that stuck out from the rest of her face. While she hasn’t talked openly about getting work done, it is pretty obvious that she’s had a nose job. Either that, or she went on a nose diet. Since it ended up looking much smaller.
Amanda Bynes is an absolute train wreck, but at one time, she seemed like she was going to make it out of child stardom into a normal adult life. After “Easy A” in 2010, it seemed Bynes was in the clear, but she took a weird turn and started getting into trouble with the law and had a meltdown for all to see on social media.
If there was something wrong with Bynes during her meltdown, it wasn’t her nose. Still, that didn’t stop her from getting a nose job. Bynes gets upset when people use old photos of her because hates the way she used to look. She might be the only one who thinks she looks better these days.
Heidi Montag is an interesting celebrity known mainly as a reality television star on “The Hills” and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” Montag has also tried her hand in singing, but the result was one of the most painful listening experiences ever recorded. Montag’s marriage to fellow “Hills” star, Spencer Pratt, has also been well documented and the two are known as the cringe inducing “Speidi”.
Montag underwent a series of plastic surgeries that included a breast reduction, cheek work, chin work and a nose job, which made her look completely different than before. Her nose was widened to match her new face, but it didn’t turn out too spectacular. Montag has gone on to admit that she regrets getting the multiple surgeries done and thinks she could have been a bigger star if she never went under the knife. We think a vocal chord surgery would have been better.
The first name that usually comes up in a conversation about famous radio personalities is Howard Stern. The shock jock got his start as a more conventional host, but wanted to grab the attention of his listeners by discussing more adult content. Stern partnered with Robin Quivers and the two were soon fired from their job in Washington DC, but went on to hit it big in New York City. The life of Stern was documented in his biography film, “Private Parts”.
Howard Stern had a bump on his nose, right on the very tip. When Stern underwent the procedure to get the bump smoothed out, he didn’t tell anyone, and not even his own family noticed. Stern kept it a secret because he didn’t want people to think “it was gay” which is a total Howard Stern response.
Janet Jackson is the younger sister of the late, great Michael Jackson, and the only one besides Michael from the family to find solo success. Hailing from Gary, Indiana, Jackson has had multiple hit albums and songs, as well as notable movie roles in the “Nutty Professor II” and “Why Did I Get Married?”. Jackson is doing just fine for herself despite being in the shadow of her late, famous older brother.
Much like Michael, Janet has been obsessed with wanting to defy the aging process by using extreme measures. What started out with a nose job has turned into multiple procedures that make Jackson look much different than she did 10 or 20 years ago. The newest addition to the Jackson plastic surgery collection is a facelift that doctors said she shouldn’t have had. Oh well, you can’t stop a Jackson from trying.
Ashlee Simpson is known for a few things and singing is probably the last on the list. She is more known for being the younger sister of Jessica Simpson, the ex-wife of Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, as well as for getting caught lip syncing on “Saturday Night Live”. Simpson has managed to stay semi-relevant in the media and is now married to Evan Ross, the son of Diana Ross.
Simpson had a beak nose, which definitely needed some work. Her new nose is almost non-existent, which leaves us wondering how she even breathes.
Caitlyn Jenner (Bruce Jenner)
Bruce Jenner was one of the most famous Olympians of all-time, winning the gold medal in the decathlon in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. Jenner’s first two wives weren’t overly noteworthy, but his third wife, Kris Jenner, spawned the Kardashian kids. It was then that Bruce came back into the limelight.
Jenner’s first nose job occurred back in the 1980’s. In Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer on April 24 of this year, he announced that he was transgender. He has since had multiple surgeries in his transition to become a female. We think that Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, looks amazing! You go girl!
Courtney Love (Real name Courtney Harrison) is a rock singer most known for having been married to Nirvana icon, Kurt Cobain. She also fronted her own band, Hole. Love, now 50 years old, has been active in the music scene since she was 17. She has had her fair share of problems with drugs, which comes with the territory when you’re a rocker.
Back in her early music career, Love used to have a nose that looked like a light bulb. She wanted to be taken more seriously as a singer and actress, so she underwent a rhinoplasty in the 1980’s to have her beak trimmed down. The acting career never really worked out, but Love’s music earned her enough money to not worry about becoming an actress (not to mention it payed for her nose job
Ashley Tisdale got her start with the Disney Channel, first appearing in “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”, then in the ever popular, “High School Musical”. Tisdale has tried to branch out from Disney by starring in bigger roles and releasing her own albums, but hasn’t quite found the success that she had with the Mickey Mouse network.
Since Tisdale wanted to get out of the Disney spotlight and make a bigger name for herself, she opted for rhinoplasty to launch her new start. That’s not the reason she gave for it, however. Tisdale insisted that she was having trouble breathing out of one side of her nose, but the surgery improved the look of her nose. It’s like getting your brakes replaced when you go for an oil change, right?
Dianna Agron is a singer, actress and dancer. She has had many roles over the course of the last decade, but most know her from the hit show “Glee”. Agron and “Glee” co-star Lea Michele were roommates in real life. Other than “Glee,” Agron has just had small roles in TV shows and movies, but she stars in the upcoming film “Tumbledown” with Jason Sudeikis.
Agron is a natural beauty, but she had a couple of incidents where her nose was damaged. At one point, someone whiffed on a punch aimed at someone else, but it landed on Agron’s nose. A second broken nose occurred when she bumped into a friend head first while the two were dancing. The two broken noses resulted in Agron needing nose jobs, which both ended up looking pretty good.
Jennifer Aniston has had a long and successful career. The first role Aniston landed was in the 1993 horror film, “Leprechaun”. The folks at NBC must have liked it, because she was cast as Rachel in the wildly popular show “Friends”. Since then, Aniston has landed huge roles and has made a lot of money, appearing in movies like “Bruce Almighty”, “Horrible Bosses” and “The Break-Up.”
One reason that people opt for a nose job is the old deviated septum tactic. While some would call it an excuse to get a nose job, Aniston said that she was having trouble sleeping due to the lack of oxygen coming through her nose. Aniston isn’t shy about her surgery, and everyone would agree that her new nose looks much better. More than three quarters of the country have a deviated septum, but we don’t look like Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer Grey was on her way to being a big star in the 1980’s when she played the older sister of Matthew Broderick in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”. Grey moved onto an even bigger role when she starred opposite of Patrick Swayze in “Dirty Dancing”, but her stardom came to a screeching halt after that. Since then, Grey has been most memorable for appearing on “Dancing with the Stars”.
Perhaps the reason that Grey fell out of the limelight was because her nose had a pretty unique look that people liked. But Grey didn’t like her nose and opted for rhinoplasty which, she said, ended up being a nightmare. Now almost unrecognizable, Grey doesn’t look like the same person that tormented Ferris Bueller and has admitted that people have had difficulty recognizing her ever since the surgery.
A lot of people think that Tori Spelling only got into acting because her father was the late TV producer Aaron Spelling. Those people might be correct, but Tori has made a lot of money from acting and reality TV to go along with a nice inheritance. Tori got her first major role on “Beverly Hills, 90210”, is now married to Dean McDermott, and is the mother of four children.
Tori Spelling looks like she has undergone about 30 plastic surgeries over the last couple of decades, trying hard not to look like her dad. Honestly, in younger photos, she looks like Aaron Spelling so much that it is creepy. The only surgery that Spelling admits to is the nose job, which narrowed and raised her nose to a more normal level. She won’t confess to the other 29.
Mickey Rourke has been an actor since the late 1970’s and has had a lot of memorable performances, along with a long period of performances that didn’t register on anyone’s radar. It was when Rourke starred in the 2007 film, “The Wrestler” (about a semi-retired professional wrestler struggling to make ends meet) that he was welcomed back into bigger roles.
Rourke went into boxing for a period of time, and ended up becoming a pretty good fighter. Part of boxing means that you get punched in the nose, a lot. His fighting career left Rourke’s nose a mangled mess and caused him a lot of pain. Rourke’s nose job might be the only one on the list that was absolutely necessary, which is surprising to say the least.
Kathy Griffin has been in comedy since 1980 and is recognized almost instantly for her loud mouth and bright red hair. Griffin appeared to be a younger version of Joan Rivers (who she would later work with on a fashion show). She has had many great supporting roles despite never being the leading lady herself. Griffin is currently on the E! network and won the award for best comedy album at the Grammys in 2014.
Griffin was told repeatedly in her younger days that she would be prettier and land bigger roles if she didn’t have such a large nose. So Griffin decided to get a nose job on the advice of others. She also went in for a few other surgeries to enhance her look, but still landed herself on the “D-list” according to her comedy act.
